Mental
Personality:
Her environment created her, growing up on the streets she earned herself quite a backbone, since without it she would not be able to survive. But it doesn't mean she hadn't taken certain traits after her father, they surfaced when she went to school and her financial status got a little better thanks to the help from her school and teachers, not worrying about her basic needs as much as she used to, she got interested into art and everything connected with it, and with some practice at school she became quite a good artist herself, finding inspiration in the things that surrounded her, she still had much to learn though.
When she found someone who indeed wanted to take up the 'post' of her mentor it was the best thing that happened to her, mainly because her 'mentor' Embraced her. Limiting the problem of food (since blood was easier to get) she became artistically involved thanks to her freshly earned 'family'. Stubborn and feisty she obtained a certain amount of respect from others even though she was still ridiculously young for a vampire. Eccentric and constantly searching for inspiration, in other-words she's a typical artist, growing frustrated when nothing comes to her mind, nothing that she can use to create a masterpiece, that is.
Goals/Dreams: getting a Caravaggio(somehow)
Habits:buying things that she doesn't necessary need
Likes:Late Renaissance and Pre-Rafaelitan art, Chopin (lol, that's my inner patriot speaking...shhh), modern music
Dislikes:kitsch, people(and vampires) without good taste, violence (since she had experienced it as a child)

Parents: Jerome and Irina Veil
Sibling(s): three brothers(humans); Siergiey, Ian and Stiepan (well, they're old now, with Siergiey already dead)

- before vampirism: poor( or rather really poor)
- after vampirism:much better, not awfully well-off, but she's middle class.
Mother's Job:unemployed (and deceased)
father's Job:novelist(his books weren't bestsellers, mind you)
Pet(s): none
Vampiric Information:
Sect: Camarilla
Clan:Toreador
Disciplines:Auspex, Celerity, Prescence
Years "lived" as a vampire:53
Skills: stealing( since she had to learn it in order to survive in her youth)
Merits and Flaws:
- Merits:quick reflexes (due to her stealing skill), good looks (because I didn't know what to write... )
- Flaws:stubborn (as hell), eccentric, lazy(now, when she can afford many things without much ado), surprisingly conceited for someone with her background (bit like Michelangelo, lol), rather bad-tempered.
Weapons: a dagger or other kind of a knife
Items of importance: a silver pendant she had received from her grandmother as a child, it's not precious but she holds a sentimental attachment towards it.
Life in N.O.: from the beginning
Close/ from the Beast: far, she wouldn't be able to control itFears: Red Fear (she's frantically afraid of it)

Background
History:
On 11th of May Tanya was born to her mortal parents; Irina Petrova (a Russian emigrant) and Jerome Veil. As the fourth child in a family that could hardly make ends meet. Mother, who traveled all the way from Russia in search of a better life found rather the reverse of it, instead. But she was a strong woman that did not give up easily and her vivacious, optimistic personality had a great impact on Tatiana, who had taken some traits after her parent, especially the stubbornness and fiery temper.
Father who aspired to be a great and famous novelist did nothing to help (or at least try to help) his wife and children. Permanently looking for a topic that would make him successful and dreaming of a revolutionary novel that would pull him and his family out from the bottom of poverty, whereas the of his near and dear ones strove for survival.
Brought up by the streets the four children learned how to make a living in every way possible and stuck together through thick and thin(mainly through thin, since they hardly could say they had thick times); they stole, begged, and seized every occasion to ear/obtain some money. Tanya's two older brothers became pickpockets and soon taught the younger siblings how to do it properly.
School had proved itself to be fairly useful, at least from the practical point of view since it offered a some material support to the four siblings and as mentioned above their material situation was still rather miserable.
However, Tatiana was not extremely interested in her education, in fact she was as uninterested as possible, paying attention only on English lessons when they were about poetry or literature, spending the rest of her school time sketching or doodling on the back of her notebook. At the age of sixteen she left school to work.
Taking up as many low salary (since with practically no education she wouldn't be able to get something better) as she could; babysitting, working a waiter, pretty much everything. It left practically no time for further developing her artistic skills, she used every spare minute to make drawings, sometimes trying to sell them. One of such drawings intrigued earned her an admirer who became intrigued with both art and the artist.
Offered a new life (or unlife in that matter) she accepted it willingly, but did not foresee the consequences. Having all the time in the world and no threat of dying form lack of food, since blood was undoubtedly easier to find than human food she gave herself away to things she loved. With her Sire as a patron Tanya bloomed.
Having earned quite a bit of money to help out her family she was met with painful realization that her family didn't want her anymore, they were both repulsed and afraid of her daughter. She was no longer one of them.
(will expand if I have to)
Hometown: New Orleans (her mother was Russian)
RP Sample:
Luckily it was getting late.
Tanya turned in her bed, reluctantly opening one eye.
The heavy, almost ridiculously thick curtains were drawn providing all light from getting inside. She could feel it was getting late because her tiredness and the numbness in her fingers was slowly going away. Finally.
She loathed the day, even when human, it never promised anything good, and now it was just exhausting and dangerous with its deadly light. She brushed away few strands of her entangled, thick hair from her face and wrapped herself tighter in the dark silky sheets.
Tanya couldn't help but muse on how different this place was from her family house, without the scratched, dirty walls and plaster that fell off in bits. So different that it all almost felt unreal though she had lived here for so long. It still had something unfamiliar, something that wasn't home-like. This luxury still appeared unnatural to her and she would need another 50 years to get used to it, to make it home.
